Mcqueen Denim Launch!

The name McQueen sparks such a grand fashion reaction but when you add the word denim, it immediately takes you to bad boy actor Steve Mcqueen who made Lee denim famous with his iconic denim jackets and 101J slim-line jeans. The launch was to introduce McQueen Denim to the fashion plate, they are a fresh-faced Melbourne based denim label founded by two boys who were inspired by the "King of Cool" Steve McQueen. The jeans cost a mere $99.95 each and cover all colours and styles for you guys! The night was ablaze with McQueen inspired flare - a theme of denim and leather, a rock band poised and ready to play, McQueen quotes strewn all over the wall, cocktails flowing and guests dressed to kill. A big thanks to Door 121 for the festivities!

Maxshop Makes AW12 Magic!

After rushing from work to make it to this launch I was taken aback when I walked in and was transported to a chic forest wonderland! Held in an art gallery, it was no surprise that the beautiful renderings made especially for Maxshop's Autumn Winter 2012 collection decorated the walls. With white trees and fairy lights setting the winter atmosphere, we left summer at the door.

The new "A Winter's Tale" retro ladylike collection stars stunning prints, chic silhouettes and embellishments that are sure to be a hit next season! With foxes peering out from silks, hearts on sleeves, faux fur collars and luscious leather trimmings - it was a collection to fall in love with.

Colour Play On A Rainy Day

Seems as if the only way to pop some cheer on these rainy summer days is to be bold, be bright and colour-block! I just love the colours that are out this season, they are so much fun to play around with. I don't know if I can ever go back! Haylee Codina and Kate Sorensen are the Sydney based designers behind the Australian made label La Lune Noire! Inspiration is drawn from their love of French styling, luxurious fabrics, and bright alluring colours! Their pieces are a blend of modern and feminine deisgn, while keeping strong silhouettes with some holding eye-catching embellishments. They are the perfect combination of edgy and cute. Central Park Paradise

New York truly is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of! In the midst of high rise buildings and yellow cab traffic is a beautiful oasis that is Central Park. I am so desperately jealous of all you bloggers living in the big apple, your photos would look fabulous anywhere! Sample Sale Alert!

This is by far one of my favourite samples sales every year - hello how can you fault House of Harlow, Low Luv and Winter Kate at a fraction of the price! Plus they throw in some other fab labels like celebrity favourites Fluxus, Tolani, WILDFOX and Gypsy 05. I just fell in love with these labels when I saw their collections and of course all the celebrity loving.
